Padraig Harrington played only nine holes during practice yesterday as he struggled-on with a strained right wrist injury.
Keen to defend his Open title, the Dubliner has already admitted if it was any other event than the Open Championship, he would have already pulled out and gone home to rest.
He was reportedly happy with his performance during the short practice session, but has concerns that going in the rough during the Championship could aggravate his wrist injury and cause it to flair up.
Harrington is pushing hard to take part at Royal Birkdale, but could still join one of the other tournament favourites Tiger Woods on the injury bench.
